Lasek and Epi-lasek

LASEK is laser assisted subepithelial keratomileusis which involves create epithelial flap, not with the use of microkeratome but with the use of dilute alcohol solution and then ablation of the cornea with laser. In this procedure there will be no corneal flap creation by microkeratome so it will eliminate any flap related complications.

Epi-lasik is corneal surface ablative refractive procedure. In this procedure there will be special motorized blade that will separate the epithelial layer of the cornea without dissecting the corneal stroma while that with lasik will cut through the corneal stroma.

LASEK and EpiLasik can correct low to moderate myopia up to -7 and hyperopia up to +4 and also for myopic astigmatism.
