Q 3- Diplopia and Exotropia after cataract surgery
Hi, Iam a diabetic patient,insulin depend. I have Parkinson's for 15 years. I had cataract surgery April 11, from April 12 I have had diplopia and exotropia. My vision blurred in the afternoon and I have headaches by early evening daily. My question: Is this normal? Is this temporary? How long will this last? Thanks

Cataract surgery can cause diplopia and double vision which can be temporary (Less than few weeks) or permanent, depending on the cause. For example, tilted or dislocated intraocular lens can cause permanent double vision unless the position of the lens is corrected under surgery. Cataract surgery doesn't cause exotropia (outward deviation of eyeball) which also can cause diplopia. You should visit your doctor regarding exotropia which can be due to Diabetes Mellitis.
