When to seek medical care?

1-When there is no improvement of your condition with conservative use of warm compresses and lid hygiene.

2- Worsening of the condition. Sometimes sebaceous carcinoma can be presented with symptoms of blepharitis. Your doctor will be able to differentiate between both.

3- Eye pain

4- Eye discharge

5- Red eye

6- Change in vision either suddenly or gradually. Sudden loss of vision needs immediate medical care. Dramatic change of vision is rarely due to Blepharitis.

7- A sore that appears on the eyelid which is either persist or increase in size. It should be evaluated by your doctor to determine its nature


How can I prevent Blepharitis?

1- Keep your hand and face clean

2-Avoid rubbing your eyes with dirty hands

3-always remove your eye makeup before bedtime with good clean and wash

4-Always wash your face and eyelid with warm water

5-massage your eyelid while washing your face

6-If you like to join sauna always massage your face and eyelid.

7-poor nutrition is a risk factor for meibomian gland dysfunction so balanced diet is required. Try to know which food are used as anti-inflammatory diet,which can help you not only in Blepharitis control but also in preventing many diseases like tumors.
