Acuvue Oasys Contacts

Acuvue oasys lenses are special types of silicone hydrogel contact lenses. It is made of senofilcon A which is a new silicone hydrogel material with 38% water content and it is 50% smoother than other available silicone hydrogel contact lenses.

Senoficon A allows 98% of the available oxygen to pass through to the cornea and thus preventing hypoxic changes.

In these lenses there is also a high moisture wetting agent called hydraclear plus which is a new improved generation of hydraclear technology.

This technology will help the lens to work perfectly in different environments such as working for long hours infront of computer, exposure to cold or heated air conditions and frequent air travel, providing high wetting protection and smoothness of the lens.

Senofilcon A and hydraclear plus technology will help to decrease or even eliminate common problems of soft contact lenses wear such as discomfort from dryness and they will make the blink smoother and you will not even feel that you are wearing a contact lens.

Replacement Schedule

2- Extended. Can be used continuously up to six nights then should be replaced with a new one. This type of lens is FDA approved for overnight wear, up to six nights.

UV Protection

Benzotriazole UV-absorbing monomer is used to block UV radiation.

Although these lenses block the transmission of UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye, they can't replace the UV-absorbing sunglasses or goggles because these lenses do not cover the whole eye and surrounding area completely.
