Hi, Can Lumigan cause a stye on the eyelid? I just started using Lumigan for ocular hypertension and about 2 weeks later I developed a bump on my eyelid. Before the bump appeared, my eyelid was irritated and red. My family doctor said it looks like a stye. I stopped using Lumigan in that eye until, hopefully, the stye goes away. I have never had styes, etc. Thanks

Lumigan Eye Drops doesn't cause Styes. Styes usually start with Redness and irritation on the eyelid then a bump develops few days later.
It is either occur accidentally in the same time that you start taking Lumigan Eye Drops or it occurs because the way you are using eye drops in general is wrong.
Don't touch the tip of the bottle and avoid any contacts between the tip of the bottle and your eyelid because these things can cause contamination of the eye drop which can increase the incidence of eye infection such as styes, conjunctivitis and keratitis.
Always make sure that your eye drops are not expired.
You shouldn't stop taking Lumigan because controlling your intraocular pressure is very important. Start on it again and also you can use antibiotic Eye drop such as Vigamox Eye drops to treat styes.
